Hussein Sajwani was born in 1952 in Dubai UAE. He was born in a family of entrepreneurs; his father had a shop where they sold watches, shirts, parker pens and goods imported from China. Hussein did very well in school and was awarded a scholarship by the government to study at the University of Washington in the USA. He later graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Economics from the University of Washington. He is an Emirate billionaire property developer and the chairman of real estate development company DAMAC Properties. He is commonly referred to as ‘’Donald Trump of Dubai.’’
Sajwani, the DAMAC owner, started his career in 1981 in Abu Dhabi Gas Industries in the finance department. After some time he got interested in U.S. military and Bechtel, who always happened to be his catering venture customers. Today the venture has grown and is referred to as Global Logistics Services. Back in 2002, Hussein Sajwani established DAMAC Property, which is ranked to be the largest property development company in the Middle East. The company has developed more than 1,900 apartments since its creation in 2002. The company has more than 44,000 units under different stages of development, which has attracted many people to learn and practiced managerial skills among other skills related to business success.
DAMAC got its success and progress published in Dubai Financial Marketbecause of the shares and commitment it has towards achieving its mission. DAMAC is well known through golf course designed by Tiger Woods and managed by The Trump Organization. It is also recognized through the luxury apartments, luxury villas styled by Bugatti, Resorts and paramount Hotels in Dubai. Hussein has invested approximately six hundred million dollars in the UK, London in Aykon tower Nine Elms in London.
