Dr. Cameron has put in more than thirty years of work in clinical practice and academic dentistry. He was active as a professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto from 1998 until he retired in 2017. He however still independently practices Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He was awarded the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1985 and then went on for specialty training which he completed in 1990. In his doctorate studies (Ph.D.) Dr. Cameron Clokie researched on regeneration related to interface development of dental implants. He was awarded the Ph.D. at McGill University in 1992.

This technique makes missing bones regenerate and grow as they would in a new-born baby. Dr. Cameron currently holds 25 US and international patents. Most of these patents are either existing or pending and concern to bone healing techniques.
